So last night we had a volleyball game against Helias. Helias is a Catholic school from Jefferson City. They are always good (but they can "offer scholarships" to fantastic athletes around the area). I was very put-off by their team and coaching staff for the way they acted at the game.
The first thing they did, was when we were on the court warming up (each team gets the court for 1/2 the time before the game) they stood right on the end line. If one of my girls went back for a long ball, they would run into a line of Catholic school girls (in uniform). I understand that they were making sure none of our balls would hit their players behind them, but take a freaking step back. Talk about feeling crowded.
The thing that really set me off, was during the varsity game, when their team did something well, the girls on their bench would fall to the ground and roll. #1: it is against the rules to do that and we get called on if our girls stand up and clap for more than 1/2 a second. #2: it is super tacky and disrespectful to do cheers like that.
I don't know if I'm a bit sensitive to volleyball ettiquite because of everything that has happened with Coach Bechard, but in all my years of watching, playing, and coaching volleyball I have never seen a team act like that on the court. Their coach shouldn't let them do that. I just thought it looked tacky and trashy and made them bad sports.
Whew! I feel better now.
She wasn't so Scary.

Wow! Stupid high school bitches! I can just imagine them rolling around the court! I would definitely want to punch them all! Haha...
Keep up the great work Coach Wies!
