Fayette Fun Day

So Saturday was the long-awaited Fayette Fun Day. It was all I expected it to be and more! I had so much fun with all of my Gardner girls. We started off with some wine and the wineglasses that I decorated for everyone. Then we headed off to Rocheport, MO for lunch and a little shopping. We got to try Wassail and it was very good, if not a bit mysterious. Thanks Richard! And I found the recipe online (sorry Nicole, no cooked pop):

Ingredients:

1 can (1 qt 14 oz size) pineapple juice, 1 quart orange juice, 1/2 cup lemon juice, 5 tea bags, 2 cups sugar, 2 teaspoons whole cloves, 3 cinnamon sticks

Directions:
Combine fruit juices. Steep tea in 2 1/2 qts boiling water for 5-10 minutes. Remove tea bags. In sauce pan combine remaining ingredients with 1 qt cold water - bring to a boil and boil 3 minutes. Strain. Just before serving combine juices, tea and spiced water and bring to a boil.

Then, our mini-van of fun rode on up the hill to Les Bourgeois Winery for wine tasting. And Brandy found a fake cat and a cat she thought was fake, but turned out to be real. After entertaining the staff at the gift shop, we headed home to get ready for dinner. While at my house, we ate a snack and practiced our Dance Moves for the Club along with the DVD. And we were hot!!

Off to Emmet's we went for a lovely dinner (and dinner conversation ;) ). We proceeded to barhop in Fayette which meant only one hop from Mike's Harmonica to Hawgs and Heifers. Much drinking and dancing took place and as Jenna said, "We got to mix with the locals." Then to bed we went.

In the morning before all of my beautiful friends left, we got to spend some cuddle time with Hank and Bonnie and groggily remembered the night's festivities.

I miss my girls so much and can't wait for Wichita Weekend in February!
