Last week I was desperate.
I had been trying over the last year to get control over my weight. I don't know if it's been going up because of meds I've been taking or just getting older. All I know is that I was about to move up a pant size...again.
So last Tuesday, I signed up for Weight Watchers. I paid about $60 for 3 months of online help, encouragement, blah, blah, blah. I know a lot of you are thinking why pay to do Weight Watchers when you can do it for free? Or why not just use one of those apps? Well, friends, I've been there, done that, and I'm still where I'm at now.
I was wary of WW, but I've already learned a lot in the first week. The more foods I eat, the more I learn about points and such. For example, I ate at Noodles on Monday when I had a meeting in Columbia. I ordered my food, ate it, then went to log the points.
Big mistake.
The Pad Thai I ate was 22 points. My daily allowance for points is 26. Bad move, I know. I had to really dip into my extra points and run forever when I got home.
But I learned to check out my options before I order.
Now, a week into it, I haven't lost much. Maybe one pound. But I can stick to this. I'm hoping it will pay off!
She wasn't so Scary.
