And by special, I don't mean short bus special. I mean a specialist. Yes, folks, I have taken the leap. I have decided to go back to school to get my Ed. Specialist degree in Education Leadership Policy Analysis. Wow, that's a mouthful!
I am a bit nervous, though. When I got my master's I was right out of college and totally still in the going to school mode. Now, I'm pretty comfortable with my schedule. And going to class every other Friday from 5-9 and Saturday from 9-5 doesn't really sound appealing...but I'm willing to do it to learn more about administration and possibly look around to becoming a principal.
Anywho, I got accepted into MU's program and will be starting in January. Now, I get to get back to the fun of filling out tons of forms that confuse the heck out of me, writing papers, meeting really important deadlines, etc... Wish me luck!

Totally excited for you and SO proud! I know this is something you've wanted to do for awhile. Good for you taking that leap of faith. Can't wait to hear all about it!
By the way, your Specialist Degree is in the same department as mine. My Master's will be in Higher Education Administration in the Educational Leadership & Policy Studies department. Small world! :) I am so proud of you! XOXO
