What I've Been Doing

This summer I decided not to work at the YMCA. The idea behind this was that I would have time to relax and lessen my stress and encourage a good environment for a baby to grow.
Well, that didn't happen exactly like I had planned.
I thought it would be a great time to take a few classes. It was fine except for one class. So much homework about such stupid stuff that I will never use! I finally finished my last assignment and will be rushing to sell back the ridiculously expensive books the class required. Basically this class kicked my ass! Good thing I took it during the summer and not when I'm actually teaching school.
I thought having a litter of pups would be no big deal. Wrong again! Try two litters and a panic at the thought of having any left over. We are not keeping any more dogs around here! As a matter of fact, if I wasn't so damn attached to the ones we have, we would be having a serious doggie downsizing talk. Yeah, puppies are cute but they poop...a lot! Don't get me started on what happens after you give them the dewormer! YUCK!!
Jewelry schmewelry! I had all these grand ideas of making tons of jewelry this summer. The truth is that I haven't even touched my stuff all summer. I really want to keep my jewelry thing going but it's getting harder and harder to make the time to make the jewelry.
Exercise? That can be described as sporadic at best. Unless you count all the trips up and down the driveway to feed, water, let out, pen up the dogs.
I've also been gardening, doing volleyball, working on a curriculum map, working on my internship, and reading. I have gotten in a lot of reading.
I don't know if that whole "not working my summer away" thing was worth it or not...
