It's time to post about the Gardner Girls Christmas Party. It was great! I always love getting together with my girls! I was lucky enough to not have to work on Monday, so I got to Nicole's house a bit early. I got to love on Nicole's kids (and sad that Miah wasn't feeling well and unable to be there), drink some Kahlua coffee with Jenna and Adam, and just hang out.
Our evening started out when everyone was there with some snacktaculous appetizers that Nicole made, buffalo chicken dip and pesto puff pastry. Then we had a great dinner with southwest chicken pasta and salad. Delicious! Also, some fabulous dinner conversations, just getting to catch up.
Then, it was present time! You know I love presents. I can't even pretend that I'm indifferent to them! Secret Santa this year was freakin' awesome! We made stockings for our girl and got everyone a little stocking stuffer. I made everyone a little necklace. In my stocking was socks, bath gel, nail polish, lip gloss, a cookie cutter, and a cookie cookbook. Love it!
Everyone did a great job on the gifts this year! First to open was Nicole. She got a beautiful wind chime from Tracie. Then Sarah got some photo albums (to put all the pictures she's taking with her new camera in) and some warm, fuzzy throws from Brandy. Then Tracie got a gorgeous purple laptop bag that several people were trying to steal from Sarah. I got a new teacher bag with my initials embroidered on it that was packed with new pens and markers (yes, I squealed with joy) and some beautiful crystal beads that I have some plans for. By the way, the bag is the perfect size and even fits my teacher editions! Thanks Nicole! Jenna got some handmade jewelry (from me) and a sign for her kitchen. Brandy got tons of stuff to pamper herself with and some stuff for her baby girl from Jenna!
After that, Sarah got some weird eye irritation (that proved to be not as bad as we thought, her eye is still in her socket ;) ) and had to leave early. The rest of us had some wine and ate Jenna's Death by Chocolate dessert with whatever spoons we could find. A-MAZ-ING!
Then, after Brandy left, we just sat in Nicole's living room and talked, and talked, and talked. The night ended with Nicole and I tucking in Jenna and Tracie and me leaving at 1:30 am.
I always enjoy spending time with my girls and can't wait until Wichita Weekend!
