So, it's been a while since I have blogged. I have just been busy. And tired. No, I'm not pregnant.
I had the very first Stella Rose Originals party at my house on Saturday. It went fairly well despite me not getting to use any of my uber-cool new stuff to make new jewelry for people to see. Overall, I learned a lot and got to spend time with friends and family.
Speaking of family, my Dad and Kelli came up on Friday and stayed Friday night while my mom, Aunt, and Cousin came on Saturday and stayed Saturday night. Full house! Busy weekend! Good thing my mom was there to "spot check" (i.e. do most of the cleaning) my house. I do love her! It helped out a lot because on the most rainy Sunday ever (or so it seems) I did a lot of grading. I mean I was up to my armpits in reading logs, text organizers, math papers, warm-ups, and many many more things some companies designed so teachers could torture...I mean teach kids. By the way, still not done with it.
I also indulged and read some more of the Percy Jackson series...you know, the Lightning Thief books? So good! If you liked Harry Potter, you'll love these! And I don't care if Clint calls me a nerd. I love them! I may read them (well, at least the first one) to my class next year.
Another thing that has been making me busy and tired is getting in shape. I thought that I was in shape after my December -January workout sessions. I was not all the way correct on that one. I switched my workout up and did some Women's Health workouts and felt a whole new kind of pain. I find myself trying to do these crazy moves that work like 7, 456 muscles at once (that may be an exaggeration) and require a ton of concentration. However, I am starting to like it. I will glance in the mirror and see myself smiling as I finally get the move and work past the "I don't think I can do any more" wall. But it's a good thing I do these workouts in the morning because I look goofy as hell, especially while attempting Yoga (which I totally suck at, don't get, and am not nearly flexible enough for the beginner stuff). Then I'm back in the gym in the afternoon (most afternoons) for some cardio time on the bike. I only do it because I can read a book at the same time. Without someone bothering me. Like Clint. Or Bonnie. Or Hank. Or Roxie. Plus, it encourages me to go to the gym.
So, it will probably be like another forever or so until I get the time to blog because I will be grading. And making jewelry. And cooking. And cleaning. And...well...you get the idea!
