A Christmas Tale

I hope you enjoy this Christmas tale of a family, some fun, and even a little thief!

Once upon a midday clear,
I traveled to my home so dear.
Our goal was to get there by one,
But we left late so that wasn’t done.

Upon arriving, we went to see Dad,
When he got his gift he wasn’t sad.
He and Clint had some beer,
And talked about stuff like hunting deer.

Did I mention that Hank was along,
And he knew the difference between right and wrong.
He was such a good little pup,
In the car, he didn’t even throw up!

After Dad’s we went to mass,
Where I saw my friend Nicole and her little lass.
After leaving Nicole and hugging goodbye,
We went to the liquor store that was nearby.

We headed home after that,
And had some Mexican food that was not nonfat.
I was eating my food and then...good grief,
My niece Jaylee turned into a little thief!

The first thing she stole was my chair,
Then she ate my food out of nowhere!
What a total little terd,
I almost uttered a naughty word.

Hank and Jaylee started wrestling around,
She kicked the ass of my littlest hound.
Soon it was time for presents,
We let the ripping and shredding commence.

We got so many gifts that were nifty,
Even though this year we were all being thrifty.
As family started leaving things settled down,
And Hank and Jaylee stopped wrestling around.

I went to bed with my sweetie pie,
We were actually going to get some shut eye.
As I was dozing off to the soft TV light,
I thought Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
