Hank is wearing me out! He is also wearing out our mini carpet shampooer.
He has some trouble sleeping all night and holding it (you know what I mean). So he has been in his crate every night pretty much since we got him. When he got a bigger crate, we tried putting it in a different room instead of ours. That worked for about a night. Then, he just couldn't get comfortable in his crate when it was in our room and we would constantly wake up to hear him scratching or hitting the door or his little toe nails scratching the plastic.
I might as well have a newborn. I get up at least 3 times a night to let him out. I. Am. So. Tired. Then, we finally broke down and put him in bed with us. All of you haters go ahead and say it! We're wienies. But we are wienies who need our sleep. And no, that's not the plan when we have kids because I don't mind rolling on my dog because he will yelp. A baby will not.
Anyways, that worked out so well for about a week. He only needed to be let out once in the middle of the night. He even likes to spoon. But then it happened. Poop! On the carpet! New carpet! Ahhhhh!!! Two nights in a row! Two mornings where I had to be late (not late to work, but late for my personal get-to-work-early schedule).
So Hank got demoted back to the crate.
