Happy Howlidays!

I love this time of year! I am a true Christmas fanatic (in accordance to the law, you know, it starts after Thanksgiving and ends by the time school is back in session - you don't want to totally overshadow the rest of the year)! I love decorating my house, tree, and obviously, the dogs.

I get a warm and fuzzy feeling when Christmas songs are playing and I happen to have a picky ear for my favorite, O Holy Night. I also enjoy the classics like Elvis's Blue Christmas, Silver bells by Johnny Mathis, Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer by Burl Ives, and of course, I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas by Gayla Peevey. You can see me on the road back and forth from work singing my heart out (I wouldn't dare do it in public where people can actually hear me).

I also love, love, love to find that perfect gift for my loved ones and wrap it up so that anyone at the Dillard's wrapping counter would beg me to come and work for them. Santa is on my waiting list for wrapping lessons. And sometimes I just like to wrap them so that they can't find an available edge to tear. Depends on who the gift is for.

However, my favorite part of the Christmas season is right before I go to bed and have turned the TV off, the fireplace is going, and before I turn off the Christmas lights. I love the quiet beauty of Christmas at that time. It reminds me of when Christmas seemed so magical when I was younger.

I love getting together with all of my family and friends and sharing this special time of year when (most) everyone is in a happy mood and just ready to enjoy each other's company.
