Thanksgiving

For the first time ever, we had my family's Thanksgiving dinner at our house - in Missouri! I love my family for coming out all the way from Gardner to see the house and enjoy the holiday with us. However, there was some craziness and it goes like this:

Mom, Tara, and Grandma came out Wednesday night to help get things ready. This means that Mom was enjoying being my slave driver for getting the laundry folded and put away. I even have the buzzer on the dryer turned off and she would hear it click and tell me to go start folding. But, she did come bearing gifts. She brought me my Grandma Bryan's Rainbow vacuum cleaner. This thing is amazing! I had just vacuumed my house very thoroughly and this thing picked up so much dirt! I actually enjoyed vacuuming the floors this weekend (probably because I like seeing all the crud out of my carpet and in the tank of the vacuum. Mom also brought us a bigger dog crate for Hank and a card table and chairs. Who cares if they're not new? Not me!

Thursday was crazy! We were up cooking by 9:00. I was supposed to watch my Grandma make noodles (our sacred family dish) and so Mom asked, "Where's your rolling pin?"

"Uh, I don't have one."

"How are we supposed to make noodles without a rolling pin?"

"I don't know, this is my first time watching."

"Well, how do you make pie crusts?"

"I pull the premade crusts out of the fridge and put them in the pan."

After the noodle debacle, things went pretty smooth. My Uncle Rick tried fishing in our pond, my cousin Tara played with our thousands of dogs (ok, 4 dogs), and my niece Jaylee ran around like the cutest little button out there!

All in all, a great weekend! Here are some pictures from the weekend.
