Morning Sickness is No Joke!

So morning sickness (along with afternoon and evening sickness) has reared its ugly head.  I've only thrown up once, but this all day, on and off feeling waves of nausea is already getting old.  Thank goodness I'm off for summer break!  How do people do this and go to work?

I think it would be easier to deal with if it were more consistent.  But I go from feeling totally fine one minute to "oh crap, am I going to throw up?" the next minute.  For example, at our Father's Day dinner I was so hungry.  Mardell grilled up some pork steaks that smelled so good.  I loaded up my plate, cut up my pork steak, had 3 bites, then couldn't eat anymore meat.  I could only eat the veggies and fruit.

I'm thinking this pregnancy is leaning towards me being a vegetarian so far...

By the way, after typing that, I had to stop because I thought I was going to yak.  This first week of all day sickness is kicking my ass.  I've tried several home remedies like lemon, ginger, crackers, protein before bed, mints, etc...  They've helped a little but I figured out that plain ginger is DISGUSTING!!  Candied ginger isn't much better!  It did help my stomach, but I had to struggle to get it down.

For right now, before I go to bed, I eat some extra protein like peanut butter or sunflower seeds.  I have crackers and a big glass of water with lemon juice on my nightstand for when I wake up.  Then I'll get another glass of water and eat an apple.  When my tummy rumbles again (sometimes I can't tell if it's because I'm queasy or hungry) I'll have some toast or crackers.  I feel like I can't even get out of my chair until around noon without wanting to just die.  At around 2:00 Bagel Bites are the only thing that sound good so that's what I have.  I struggle to make dinner for Clint (thank goodness we're doing a lot of salads this summer!) and usually just eat some veggies.

Nothing overly sugary sounds good.  Even the ginger ale that was helping now tastes way too sweet.  I guess it's a good thing that only fruits, veggies, and Bagel Bites are what I want to eat right now.  Too bad I couldn't eat like this before I was pregnant, I would have been so skinny!

I could not even look at steak without wanting to yack my whole pregnancy. I definitely despised meat!
